The New Media Group has recently welcomed a new member to their team. Teressa Berton, a senior at Meredith College, will be working with us as a New Media Marketing & Communications intern during the fall semester.

Teressa is pursuing a degree in Mass Communications, as well as minors in international business, marketing, and professional writing. Teressa will be learning the ins and outs of interactive media, as well as bringing new ideas to the team during her time with us. Teressa applied for this internship after being referred by a former employer, who believed her many skills in media, communication, and creative problem solving were well suited to the position. Though only having recently begun her work, Teressa is already enjoying the learning about the many tools utilized by the marketing team at, as well as getting to know the many friendly faces around the office. She also hopes to contribute by offering new ideas and by putting her writing abilities to work. Through this opportunity she hopes to expand her skills in development and execution of marketing initiatives of new media campaigns. In addition to her work at, she has worked as a staff writer at The Meredith Herald, and currently serves as a writer, Cornhuskin’ correspondent, and social media coordinator. In addition to her academic pursuits she has put her social media skills to work in the form of an Instagram account for her family dog. Her account, @lifeofaruffcollie, follows the life of a 60 pound rough collie, Sephe. In just a few weeks, the account has reached over 1000 Instagram users.

Teressa is also passionate about the many traditions provided to her at Meredith College, including Cornhuskin’, where this year she will be defending her title as the two-time first place corn shucking champion, with a record time of 35 seconds to shuck 7 ears of corn. While this skill may not be put to use here at Digital Solutions, we hope to see Teressa’s skills continue to grow during her time with us.
