WRAL New Media recently had the opportunity to team-build while volunteering with Hope Reins, a nonprofit organization in Wake County serving kids in life crisis through their 33-acre ranch, rescued horses and restoration in Christ. Hope Reins provides a community of healing in a safe place for those in a time of need.
Starting with just a dream to help the community, Kim Tschirret founded Hope Reins in 2010. Kim knew the power of a connection with a horse and the comfort it could provide due to her own challenges growing up. She knew her organization could make a difference and ultimately positively impact the lives of those struggling in the community. Since 2010, Hope Reins has already helped over 2,000 kids with the support of a very dedicated staff, committed volunteers and generous donors to help propel their purpose forward.
WRAL New Media got to see firsthand the safe and tranquil environment that Hope Reins offers to those who really need it. We toured the ranch grounds and heard from their passionate team about the organization’s mission and stories of hope and transformation. After the tour, our team spent the day helping maintain the grounds and pastures of the ranch. With so many people in need, it is always important to remember that nobody can help everyone, but everyone can help someone.
